The aim of the program
is to provide a wide variety of social and play situations which allow the child to grow to his or her fullest potential socially,
emotionally, cognitively and physically (gross and fine motor skills). A vital part of the program is the
exploration and investigation of nature and its wonders. Lots of hands-on projects are provided, such as
measuring, counting, stirring and tasting favorite recipes. Literature is a major part of our Pre-K program.
We encourage a love of books and gear many of our projects to correspond to the “Book of the Day”.
There is a culture of absolute
respect for the children and their parents. Daily communication is encouraged between parents and teachers.
The Robin's Nest’s main goal is
to provide a Pre-Kindergarten program of the highest quality. We want your children to have a significant
“Head Start” when they arrive for kindergarten on their first day. Our goal for the students
is to be socially and “more than” academically ready for the kindergarten classroom. They will
recognize and write all 26 letters, know their sounds, be knowledgeable of the conventions of print,
know colors & shapes, recognize numbers 1 to 100, group and finally read!
The program is designed to provide a structured,
caring and loving atmosphere, a safe setting, a stimulating educational curriculum and a full range of services to support
the children and parents. The program is designed to relieve the anxiety associated
with the daily stress that can result when parents are rushing, working and worrying about the well being of their children.
I want parents, who lead hectic lives, to be confident that someone who understands the family’s needs will be
caring for their children.
