Full Day Pre-school

Hours: 7:30am  -  4:30pm

Arrival from 7:30 to 9:00

Pick-up from 3:00 to 4:30

Before & After School Care

The Robin's Nest staff will be available to put Kent Elementary and Kent Primary children on the bus in the morning and will also provide after school care.  The bus arrives at 8:38am and 3:35pm.


The Carmel Central School Department of Transportation must have a formal request in their files if your child is to be picked up and dropped off at The Robin's Nest.

School Calendar 

We follow the Carmel Central School District Calendar.  That is from the first day of school until the last day of the school year.  In the Handout, you will see a list of The Robin's Nest holiday schedule.


I will accommodate the Carmel teachers whose children I have in care when it comes to after school faculty, grade meetings or committee meetings at no extra charge.  I also understand that for certain Supt. or staff development days, the school is closed for the students, but the teachers must be at work.  On these days The Robin's Nest will be opened to accommodate the teachers.

School Closings

If the Carmel Central School District is closed because of weather, etc., The Robin's Nest will also be closed.

School Delays

If Carmel Central School District has a delayed opening, the Robin's Nest will be opened at the regular time of 7:30 am to accommodate the before school children.  School delays will not affect our preschool program.

Kindergarten Students

The Robin's Nest has limited openings for ½ day Kindergarten students.  Discuss the possibility of an opening and rates with Peggy.
